National Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC): The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for all children from birth through age 8. California Association for the Education of Young Children (CAEYC): The purpose of CAEYC is to serve and act on behalf of the needs and rights of young children with primary focus on the provision of educational services and resources to adults who work with and for children from birth through age eight. www.caeyc.org
The Child Development Training Consortium (CDTC): The CDTC is a statewide program funded by the California Department of Education, Child Development Division (CDE/CDD) with federal Child Care and Development Quality Improvement Funds. The CDTC has a tuition reimbursement program available at Pierce. The CDTC will also reimburse funds for the Child Development Permit application. Los Angeles Universal Preschool: Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP) is an independent public benefit corporation created in 2004 and funded by First 5 LA – the commission established by Proposition 10. LAUP’s goal is to make voluntary, high-quality preschool available to every 4-year-old child in Los Angeles County, regardless of their family’s income, by 2014. www.laup.net

Making Learning Visible: In the Making Learning Visible (MLV) Project, we believe that participation in groups is central to how individual learning is constructed, for adults as well as for children. The MLV project began in 1997 as a collaboration between Project Zero at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, MA, USA, and the Municipal Preschools and Infant-toddler Centers of Reggio Emilia, Italy.
