WELCOME TO ADMISSIONS & RECORDS

The Office of Admissions & Records is the right place to start your college experience. In these pages you will learn how to apply to college, register for classes, get copies of your academic record, graduate, get a certificate, or get CSU or IGETC certification.

The hours of operation for the Admissions & Records Office for the first week of Summer 2009 Session:
Monday, June 22 -Thursday, June 25:
7:30am - 7:30pm
Friday, June 26:
8:00am - 4pm
Submit Add Permit Cards issued by Summer Session class instructors at the Admissions & Records Office beginning Monday, June 22. Photo ID is required. Drop classes online or by telephone.
REGISTRATION (adds & drops) for Fall 2009 Semester MUST be done online or by telephone.
NEW / RETURNING STUDENTS
SUMMER 2009 SESSION & FALL 2009 SEMESTER
Summer Session A: June 22 - July 25. Online applications is CLOSED.
Beginning Monday, June 22, you may apply for admission for Summer 2009 Session in person IF you have obtained an ADD PERMIT CARD first. Add Permit Cards are issued by instructors (NOT by the Admissions & Records Office).
Summer Session B: CANCELLED
Fall 2009 Semester: August 31 - December 20
CURRENT STUDENTS
If you were registered for Spring 2009 Semester, you DO NOT need to apply for admission for Summer 2009 Session and/or Fall 2009 Semester.
Continuing students can find out when they can start registering for Summer 2009 Session and/or Fall 2009 Semester online:
1) www. piercecollege.edu
2) Click on Class Registration
3) Read and follow the instructions.
4) Once you arrive at the Main Menu, select "View Reg. App."
NEW / RETURNING STUDENTS
The Admissions & Records Office is no longer accepting applications for Summer 2009 Session online.
APPLY ONLINE for Fall 2009 Semester!
If you are a new or returning student you must submit an application for admission online BEFORE you can sign up (register) for classes online or by telephone.
An online application for Summer 2009 Session will continue you into the Fall 2009 Semester. You DO NOT need to apply for Fall Semester if you already applied for Summer Session. If you already applied for Fall Semester only and want to attend Summer Session, you will need to submit an application for Summer Session in person with an Add Permit issued by the class instructor.
1. Go to www.piercecollege.edu
2. Click on APPLY ONLINE (upper right-hand corner).
3. After you submit your application online, you will receive a confirmation email from Pierce College with further instructions. If you do not receive the confirmation email in your inbox, please check your junk, spam or bulk mail folder.
In addition to the application for admission, concurrent high school students MUST submit a "High School Concurrent Enrollment" form BEFORE signing up for classes every semester they attend. More information will be emailed to you after the online application is processed.
SCHEDULE OF CLASSES, ACADEMIC CALENDAR, AND GENERAL CATALOG
The print version of the Schedule of Classes is available for free at the Information Desk in the Administration Building. The Los Angeles Pierce College General Catalog may be purchased at the Bookstore.
Please note that important information is provided in the print version of the Schedule of Classes & in the General Catalog.
Did you know you can do ALL the following by going to www.piercecollege.edu and clicking on CLASS REGISTRATION?
• Make changes to class schedule (Make sure you are aware of deadlines published in the Calendar)
• View grades
• View holds
• View & pay fees
• View unofficial transcript.
• View registration appointment
• View placement exam results
To Request an OFFICIAL transcript you must submit a Request for Official Transcript Form (Form No. 13) by mail or in person. Transcripts cannot be ordered online.
ADD (OPEN CLASSES) OR DROP CLASSES ONLINE
1. Go to www.piercecollege.edu
2. Click on CLASS REGISTRATION (upper right-hand corner area of your browser).
3. Read instructions carefully and proceed.
4. If you are dropping, review your schedule first, you will need to make a note of the section number of the course you are about to drop.
5. After your transaction has been processed, you will receive a confirmation number. Write down and keep the confirmation numbers given for each transaction.
6. Review your schedule to make sure that the transaction was processed successfully. Obtain a copy of your updated registration receipt at the Business Office (or you can print your schedule online).
ADD (OPEN CLASSES) OR DROP CLASSES BY TELEPHONE
1. Call 818-988-2222.
2. Listen carefully & follow the prompts.
3. If you are dropping, review your schedule first, you will need to make a note of the section number of the course you are about to drop.
4. After your transaction has been processed, you will receive a confirmation number. Write down and keep the confirmation number given for each transaction.
5. Listen to your schedule to make sure that the transaction was processed successfully. Obtain a copy of your updated registration receipt at the Business Office (or you can print your schedule online).
