Fall 2014 Semester began Tuesday, September 2
ONLINE APPLICATIONS CLOSED 8/15/2014
Once the semester begins, you can no longer sign up for classes online. (OPEN short-term courses are the exception). Online applications closed 8/15/2014. Attend the first day of class and the instructor may give you a signed add permit card IF space allows. For distance education courses (online classes), please email the instructor (see course description in the Schedule of Classes at www.piercecollege.edu/schedules)
Recent/late Fall 2014 online applicants: You may obtain an add permit card by going to class even if you have NOT received your student identification number yet. You will need to submit the add permit card at the Admissions & Records Office. Admissions will check the application for admission you submitted online.
If you have not applied for admission, Admissions & Records will process paper applications for students who have obtained an Add Permit from the instructor. Admissions & Records will NOT accept paper applications WITHOUT an add permit.
Admissions and Records requires photo identification in order to process transactions. Expect long lines at the beginning of each term.

Students cannot register for classes BEFORE the registration appointment time and date they receive; they may register AFTER their assigned registration appointment time.
Students register for classes ONLINE, not in person.
Online registration appointments are issued by the Los Angeles Community College District. The Office of Admissions & Records CANNOT change registration appointments.
Students who attended either the previous Fall or Spring semester at any of the LACCD campuses DO NOT need to reapply. Continuing students can view their district-wide registration date that can be used at any of the nine campuses to enroll for classes.
NEW AND RETURNING STUDENTS: ENROLLMENT PROCESS
A returning student is someone who did not enroll in any school in the Los Angeles Community College District within the last two semesters. New and returning students are REQUIRED to submit an application for admission BEFORE an online registration date/time is issued. Students cannot register for classes BEFORE the registration appointment time and date they are assigned; they may register AFTER their assigned registration appointment time.

Please note that submitting an application for admission DOES NOT guarantee that classes will be open.
Pierce College does not utilize a wait list system. The system allows students to enroll in a course through the online registration portal, on a first-come first-served basis, the moment a seat becomes available in the course due to a student dropping out. This option, however, is only available until the day before the classes begin. After that, interested students will need to attend the first day of class and the instructor will give them a signed add card should there be room in the class to add the student.

The DEADLINE to submit a PETITION FOR READMISSION for Fall 2015 is: April 2, 2015.
A PETITION FOR READMISSION (in addition to the APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION that must be submitted online first) is to be used ONLY by students who were DISMISSED from ANY of the colleges in the Los Angeles Community College District (www.laccd.edu) at least one year ago and wish to attend Los Angeles Pierce College. The Petition for Readmission (form no. 12) is available at www.piercecollege.edu/admissions/forms.asp Late petitions are NOT accepted.
Applying for Winter/Spring 2015 will make you a continuing student for Summer/Fall 2015. Please DO NOT apply for Summer/Fall 2015 IF you have already applied for Winter/Spring 2015. Duplicate applications may create processing delays.

Requests for transcripts (official or unofficial) or Verifications of Enrollment will NOT be accepted until ALL financial obligations with the Los Angeles Community College District are paid. IF you received a fee waiver/financial aid, make sure that you DO NOT owe ANY fees BEFORE submitting a transcript and/or verification request. If you owe fees (past or current) at ANY school in the Los Angeles Community College District, your request will not be processed.
