The DEADLINE to change your residency status (WITH the Supplemental Residency Questionnaire (SRQ) AND supporting documents) from non-resident to resident for the Spring 2014 Intersession was: Friday, February 7, 2014.
There will be no residency determination during the first two weeks of Spring Semester (2/10/2014 - 2/21/2014) for Summer and/or Fall 2014.
Spring 2014 Semester: Applications for Admission & Adding Classes
The last day to apply for admission online for Spring 2014 Semester was Friday, January 31.
Attend the first day of class and the instructor may give you a signed add permit card IF space allows: You may do this even if you applied for admission (before the January 31 deadline), but have not received your student identification number and an online registration appointment. You will need to submit the add permit card (photo id will be required) at the Admissions & Records Office where Admissions will look up the application you submitted online. Expect long lines.
If you did not apply for admission online by January 31, Admissions and Records will process paper applications for students who have obtained an add permit from the instructor beginning Monday, February 10. Admissions & Records will NOT accept paper applications WITHOUT an add permit.
The DEADLINE to submit a PETITION FOR READMISSION for Spring 2014 was: 11/27/2013. (A PETITION FOR READMISSION, in addition to the APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION, is required ONLY by students who were DISMISSED from ANY of the colleges in the Los Angeles Community College District (www.laccd.edu) at least one year ago and wish to attend Los Angeles Pierce College.)
DO NOT apply for admission if you received a registration appointment.

Please note that the Admissions & Records Office does not clear prerequisites.
Please see course descriptions in the Schedule of Classes.
It is the student's RESPONSIBILITY to be aware of the college's rules and regulations that appear in the Schedules of Classes, General Catalog, Calendar, Student Information Addendum: ww.piercecollege.edu/schedules
Please note that submitting an application for admission DOES NOT guarantee that classes will be open.
Pierce College does not utilize a wait list system. The system allows students to enroll in a course through the online registration portal, on a first-come first-served basis, the moment a seat becomes available in the course due to a student dropping out. This option, however, is only available until the day before the classes begin. After that, interested students will need to attend the first day of class and the instructor will give them a signed add card should there be room in the class to add the student.
Photo identification is required to process all transactions.
New & Returning Students: Enrollment Process
A returning student is someone who did not enroll in any school in the Los Angeles Community College District within the last two semesters. New and returning students are REQUIRED to submit an application for admission (for Summer & Fall 2014) BEFORE an online registration date/time is issued. The last day to apply for admission online for Spring 2014 Semester was Friday, January 31.
Registration appointments for CONTINUING students are issued by the Los Angeles Community College District (not Pierce College) based on a seniority system that includes two major criteria: the TOTAL number of units COMPLETED (currently enrolled units are NOT counted) in the Los Angeles Community College District AND when the student last enrolled in classes.
The more units a continuing student has COMPLETED in the Los Angeles Community College District, the earlier the registration appointment will be.
Students cannot register for classes BEFORE the registration appointment time and date they receive; they may register AFTER their assigned registration appointment time.
NEW and RETURNING students receive an registration appointment based on when their application for admissions was received & processed.
NEW and RETURNING students may view their online registration date/time at www.piercecollege.edu (CLASS REGISTRATION tab) a few days AFTER the application for admission has been processed.
