ASO COMMITTEES
Election
- Responsible for supervising the elections for ASO officers in accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws. Active in the Spring semester only.

Community Welfare
- Responsible for organizing and coordinating community awareness.
- Chair: Yaneth Cabadas-Sanchez

Publicity
- Responsible for publicizing current events that involve campus and community life. The publicity committee promotes ASO activities, posts digital and printed media on bulletin boards, and provide information in the designated internet space.

Scholarships
- Responsible for the maintenance of the annual ASO scholarships. The committee shall assess submitted applications and essays.

Rules and Lobby
- Responsible for setting appointments for ASO lobbying trips. In charge of delegating senators/members to various on/off campus committees that students must attend. Responsible for reviewing the constitution of all campus clubs and organizations and proposed changes to aforementioned constitutions. It shall also be responsible for being current on proposed state and federal laws directly or indirectly affecting Pierce College and reporting such proposed laws to the ASO Senate.

Social/Cultural
- Responsible for organizing and coordinating campus social events. The committee is also responsible for organizing the ASO Banquet at the end of Spring semester.

Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC)
- Responsible for leading the way for campus-wide
partnerships and initiatives and encourage overall
student health and wellness. - Responsible for coordinating events/activities with

Sustainability Committee (adhoc)
- Responsible for formulating ASO’s environmental policy and creating sustainability programs and resources for the school.
