Two Unique Programs To Enrich Your Life!
In an effort to become an important center of older adult education in the West Valley two unique programs, the Pierce College ENCORE Program and OASIS, a national nonprofit educational organization, are offered to enrich your life. The ENCORE and OASIS programs provide volunteer opportunities and educational, cultural and wellness programming for older adults on the beautiful Pierce College campus.

What is ENCORE?
The Encore Program is composed of noncredit classes without required texts, exams, or term papers to write. The program is designed to offer lifelong education that will provide opportunities for personal growth and development, survival skills needed for self-maintenance, and economic self-sufficiency. The college offers a variety of ENCORE classes, ranging  from art and music appreciation to learning how to use the internet.    Physical Education, Music, Art, and Literature are among the course offerings.

  What is OASIS?

OASIS is a non-sectarian program of Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles, is a national education organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for mature adults.  Classes are open to all people regardless of income, sex, race, religion or background.  With challenging programs in the Arts, Humanities, Wellness, Technology and Volunteer service, OASIS creates opportunities for older adults to continue their personal growth and service to the community.  OASIS is sponsored by Jewish Family Services, Macy's Foundation, City of Los Angeles Department of Aging.
