Jimmy Allen

Jimmy Allen graduated from Los Angeles High School in 1970. He played Defensive Back/Wide Receiver at Pierce in 1970-71. He was named All-American at both positions, earning him a scholarship to UCLA along with Brahma teammate Mark Harmon. In 1973, he was named All Pac-8 and selected for several All-American teams. During his senior year at UCLA , Jimmy played in the All-American Hula Bowl.

Allen was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in their celebrated 1974 draft. He played for the Steelers for four seasons. He has the distinction of owning two Super Bowl rings, since he played as a member of the Steelers team in Super Bowls IX & X teams. He was traded to the Detroit Lions in 1978. His nickname during his playing career was “Spiderman”. He appeared in 110 NFL games from 1974-1981.
