Covelli 'Coco' Crisp

Covelli graduated from Inglewood High School in 1998. He played baseball at Pierce College in 1999. He earned 1st Team All- Conference as a centerfielder, leading the team in Batting Average, Home Runs, and Stolen Bases. "Coco" was a 7th Round Draft Pick of the St. Louis Cardinals out of Pierce. He was traded to the Cleveland Indians in 2002 and made his Major League debut that season.

Thus far in his career he has played for Boston, Kansas City, and Oakland. In 2007, he was the starting centerfielder for the World Series Champions Boston Red Sox.

He played his last two seasons with the Oakland A's. Though he is now a free agent, he will no doubt continue his illustrious career. "Coco" has a .275 Lifetime Batting Average, with 270 Stolen Bases. Brahmas are indeed rare people!
