Neal Sweeney

Playing football (1963-1964) for Pierce Hall of Fame Coach, Ray Bishop, Neal attained All-American honors as a wide receiver. Then it was on to Tulsa University, where he teamed with fellow wide receiver Howard Twilley to form one of the top receiving duos in the country. During his stay at Tulsa, Neal caught 134 passes for 1625 yards, good for 11 touchdowns. His 1965 team played in the Bluebonnet Bowl.

Following his college career, he was drafted in the NFL and played one season for the Denver Broncos. He was inducted into the Tulsa University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995.
