Clubs and Events
The English Club seeks to spread awareness of the English discipline by holding campus events open to all Pierce students. It offers a fun way for students to get to know one another and Pierce English faculty. For more information, contact one of the faculty advisors: Professor Brad Saenz, Professor Darren Borg, Professor Chris Corning, or Professor Jason Freudenrich.
The club meets on Thursdays at 12:30 in Juniper 815.
The Graphic Literature Club
The Graphic Literature Club honors when the poetry of language and the visual rhetoric of illustrations come together as a timeless and universal language and gives nerds an opportunity to talk about comics. For more information, contact the faculty advisor, Professor Mickey Harrison.
The English/ESL Department and the Philosophy Department work together to host several film screenings every semester. The screenings showcase a certain theme or movement and feature a panel of academic experts who discuss the film and answer questions from the audience. The theme and schedule for Fall 2019 will be announced soon.
