The Engineering Design & Technology (EDT) discipline at Pierce College covers computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting topics and the engineering design process, with applications in mechanical & manufacturing engineering.Los Angeles Pierce College (LAPC) offers the following programs in the Engineering Design & Technology Technology discipline:
- Associate of Science Degree in Engineering Graphics and Design Technology
The associate degree program provides students with competency skills in computer-aided design (CAD) software and knowledge of design and manufacturing processes and drafting standards. Students will achieve a strong skill set to obtain a position as a mechanical drafter or designer in the manufacturing and product development fields.
- Certificate of Achievement in Engineering Graphics and Design Technology
The certificate program is intended for students who are looking to develop marketable skills in computer-aided design (CAD) software and drafting standards with the completion of 21 semester units. Students may choose to continue their education to pursue an A.S. degree in Engineering Graphics & Design Technology.
