PI  Prealbegra Immersion
The Pierce College Mathematics Department has designed a program to help you succeed in Prealgebra so you will be better prepared to succeed in your Statistics Pathway or your Algebra path.
The Pi program is a learning community consisting of Math 110 Prealgebra + Math 103 Math Study Skills for a total of 6 units in one semester. This learning community:
 Features directed learning activitiesâ€”rather than just listening and taking notes, you will be actively engaged in classroom activities.
 Involves immersionâ€”you are enrolled in 6 units of mathematics so that much of your studying is focused on succeeding in mathematics.
 Features an imbedded tutor in the Math 110 class plus a Friday lab environment (the Math 103) with a special tutor and instructor helping you.
