Students who do not have a U.S. high school diploma or its equivalent and want to apply for financial aid will need to have an Ability-to-Benefit determination made before any Federal financial aid can be awarded. ATB examinees must be at least 18 years old before the start of the semester for which they wish to receive aid. You do need a referral from the Financial Aid Department.

PLEASE NOTE: To be eligible for the English as a Second Language Ability to Benefit Exam you MUST be enrolled or placed in an English as a Second Language course at Pierce College.
