Why do I need to see the Athletic Counselor?

Student athletes are required to complete a Student Educational Plan (SEP) with the Athletic Counselor by the beginning of the second season of competition. However, it is highly recommended you see me your very first semester so that we can begin planning your courses and discuss your long-term career and educational goals.

• I will assist you in planning the courses you will need to take every semester to ensure you are taking the required courses for eligibility and to transfer to a 4-year university
• I will advise you on NCAA athletic requirements, rules, regulations, and responsibilities which affect your educational objectives
• I also provide academic, personal, and career counseling, and teach a PD 40 “College Success Seminar” course recommended for athletes
