To schedule a 30 minute academic counseling appointment or an in-person probation workshop, you must be a current Pierce student, have a valid Pierce Student ID Number and have completed the Online Orientation (located in upper right corner of college homepage).

We strongly suggest that you review the Counseling FAQ section and the Transfer Center FAQ section, since most of your questions may be answered there.

Counseling appointments are scheduled up to 1 week in advance and are only available during the fall and spring semester. The earliest available appointment time is 8:30 a.m. and the last time an appointment may be booked is 3:30 p.m. A limited number of appointment times have been designated to be booked online. In order to schedule an appointment with a specific counselor, you must select the counselor’s name and write REQUEST in the comments section. No same day appointments can be booked. A counselor is always available on a drop-in basis to answer general questions Monday-Thursday from 8:00am-7:30pm and Friday from 8:00am-3:30pm.

Athletes are seen on a drop-in basis only by our Athletic Counselor-Claudia Ramirez-818-710-4376.

If your major falls under Science,Technology,Engineering or Math (STEM), we strongly suggest that you meet with our STEM Counselor-Niloufar Hakkakzadeh- 818-710-2272. Her office is located in Business Education 3222. The STEM counselor is available on an appointment basis as well as drop-in. Click here to check for available appointments.

*A copy of your Pierce unofficial transcript
*Copies of transcripts from all other colleges attended (if applicable)
*Copies of course descriptions for all coursework taken outside of the California Community College System
*Copy of high school transcript for Chemistry substitution (for nursing equivalency only)

Check-in for your appointment at the Counseling Reception desk in the Student Services Building.

 ***Do not change default settings when searching for available counseling appointment times.  (Leaving the Day of the Week, Start Time and End Time  settings as displayed will return the greatest number of available appointments)

 ***If you do not check-in for your appointment within the first 10 minutes of your scheduled appointment time, you will be considered a NO SHOW and will have to re-schedule your appointment.

 
Canceling Appointments/No Show Policy
If you fail to keep two counseling appointments in one semester, you will be restricted from making another appointment until the following semester.  To prevent this from happening to you, please be sure to cancel at least 24 hours prior to your counseling appointment in one of the following 2 ways:

1.    Cancel when given the option via our automated telephone reminder system
2.    Cancel via online appointment system)
