What does the student health fee cover?

1. First Aid
2. Free over the counter medications
3. Free condoms and feminine hygiene products
4. Free monthly HIV screening
5. Free STD testing and treatment

All medical and personal counseling records are kept confidential, with constraints, and are NOT part of the student's academic record. Information may not be released without the student's written consent (Link here to Student Health Services Privacy Act). Information shared in counseling sessions may be discussed amongst providers for consultation but will not be discussed outside the Student Health Center.
Who can be seen at the Student Health Center?
Any student enrolled in the current semester can utilize services at the Student Health Center.
How can a student be seen at the Health Center?
Appointments are recommended to see all providers and are mandatory for the psychologist. Walk-ins will be seen only as the providers' schedules permit.
Do you offer optional Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance Plans?
Yes, several plans are available in the Campus Center, outside of the Health Center. Or you can go to the Insurance page for on-line access to a variety of insurance vendors.
Do minor students (under the age of 18) need parental consent to receive care?
Unless it is an emergency, care for acute medical problems such as an upper respiratory infection or a tuberculosis skin test requires a parental consent. You can download the consent form and have your parent sign in the appropriate space.
If a minor needs medical attention for a sexually transmitted disease, contraception and/or urinary tract infection, a parent's consent is NOT needed.
