Health Services
The SHC staff provides cost-effective primary health care services to currently enrolled students. Emphasis includes: health promotion, illness prevention, mental wellness, health education, and provision of services most needed by the college population.
First Aid &Illness Assessment
Illness and/or injury assessment by RN with individual counseling for self care and campus or community referrals if necessary.
Over the Counter Medication and Supplies
Free single doses of commonly used over the counter medication, band aides, feminine products and condoms.
General Clinic
Assessments, examinations and treatment of short term or acute illnesses and minor medical problems. In addition, psychological assessment and counseling.
Health Screening
Blood pressure; height, weight and BMI; tuberculosis screening; cholesterol testing; vision testing; pregnancy tests; HIV testing.
Health Education and Community Referrals
Information on a variety of health concerns are available at the Health Center. Referrals to various low cost/sliding scale community clinics can also be obtained from the Health Center.

Low cost nursing physicals, immunizations and labs needed for admission to any LACCD nursing program.
Prescriptions and Laboratory Tests
Low cost laboratory tests are available through the Student Health Center. Most broad spectrum generic antibiotics are also available on site. Prescriptions for non stocked medications can also be obtained. Payment by cash or check is expected at the time of service.
Psychological Counseling
Psychological Services provides short term personal counseling to students. Appointments can be made at the Student Health Center or by calling 818.710.4270.
Services Specific for Men
Genital and testicular exams; condoms; STI testing and treatment; counseling and referrals.
Services Specific for Women
Annual pelvic exams and PAP tests; breast exams, birth control prescriptions, condoms, Plan B, STI testing and treatment, yeast and vaginitis testing and treatment, family planning counseling and referrals.
