"Working together brings honor"

March 2004

    2004 California Community Colleges Association of Occupational Education Excellence in Partnership Award with Office Depot for an innovative voice activated computer laboratory.

    This was the first such laboratory in the State. Pierce is presently training other colleges in the state of California.

May 2005

    Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition presented to the Pierce Business Center at the Excellence in Workforce Development Awards.
   
    Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for partnership with Health Net for Customer Call Center Training at the Excellence in Workforce Development Award

August 2005

    Certificate awarded to Judith Trester, Director of Economic and Workforce Development Department, from the Economic Alliance for Outstanding Service and Continuing Dedication to Improving Quality to Life in the San Fernando Valley.

April 2006   

    Three Certificates of Recognition for a Customer Service Training collaboration with Health Net, Archdiocesan Youth Employment Services, and the West Hills-Canoga Park WorkSource Center. Issued by: California Legislative Assembly; City of Los Angeles; Canoga Park WorkSource Center

May 2007

    Excellence in Workforce Development Awards issued by the Los Angeles Community College District. The award was for Flexible class scheduling at our Pierce Business Center.

December 2007

    County of Los Angeles Employment Development Department regional award for training more than 25,000 San Fernando Valley employees.
