Travel and Re-Entry Documents
Travel and Re-Entry Documents
If you leave the United States (U.S.) and you wish to re-enter as a continuing F-1 student, you need the signature of a Designated School Official (DSO) on page 2, under travel endorsement of your current Form I-20, "Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status." In order to obtain this signature, you will need to enroll in courses for the upcoming semester. Visit the International Student Services (ISS) Office and bring your current Form I-20. Standard processing time is up to three business days.
You must present these documents at the U.S. Port of Entry upon re-entry:
- a valid passport
- F-1 Visa
- Form I-20, with travel signature
It is also strongly recommended you bring other supporting documents, such as proof of enrollment for the upcoming semester and proof of financial support.
