CSU Minimum Requirements Checklist
Completion of Golden Four
Must earn a grade of "C" or higher in each course:
- Oral Communication
- English Composition
- Critical Thinking
- CSU-Transferable Math
Completion of 60 CSU-Transferable Units
Students interested in transferring should have at least 60 CSU-transferable semester units with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. A higher GPA will help you be a more competitive applicant. The major, campus, and/or applicant pool may require a higher GPA due to competitive or highly-impacted campuses/programs.
Major Prep Courses
It is highly recommended that students complete their intended major's lower division requirements prior to transfer. Visit assist.org to view specific major requirements. Meet with a counselor to help you plan your general education and major preparation courses.
