I need a science course with a lab for my IGETC or CSU General Education Certified Plan requirements.

You can take:

• Biology 3 - Introduction to Biology - 4 units (UC:CSU)
• Biology 10 - Natural History I - 4 units (UC:CSU)
• Biology 121 - Lectures in Marine Biology - 3 units (UC:CSU) - also enroll in 122 for lab credit
• Biology 122 - Marine Biology Laboratory - 2 units (UC:CSU)
• Review Field Courses (work) questions to follow for additional choices

I am a Biology Major or planning a career as a medical doctor, dentist, pharmacist, or veterinarian.

You will need:

• Biology 6 - General Biology I - 5 units (UC:CSU) prerequisite or corequisite: Chem 101
• Biology 7 - General Biology II - 5 units (UC:CSU) prerequisite or corequisite: Chem 101
• You should take Biology 6 and 7 at the same college. We recommend taking 6 before 7.
• Biology 110 - Genetic Analysis and Biotechnology - 4 units (UC:CSU) prerequisite: Bio 6

I plan to enter the nursing program.

You will need:

• Biology 3 - Introduction to Biology - 4 units (UC:CSU) or Biology 6 - General Biology I - 5 units (UC:CSU)
• Anatomy 1 - Introduction to Human Anatomy - 4 units (UC:CSU)
• Physiology 1 - Introduction to Human Physiology - 4 units (UC:CSU) prerequisite: Bio 3 or 6 and Anatomy 1 or Animal Sci 511 and 512
• Microbiology 20 - General Microbiology - 4 units (UC:CSU) prerequisite: Bio 3 or 6 and Physiology 1 or Chem 51

You can take:

• Biology 11 - Natural History I - 3 units (UC:CSU) Taught in 1 unit modules (3 modules must be completed for transfer)
• Biology 12 - Natural History and Field Biology I - 3 units (UC:CSU) Taught in 1 unit modules (3 modules must be completed for transfer)
• Biology 123 - Introduction to Marine Biology - 3 units (UC:CSU) Taught at a field station on the Sea of Cortez, Mexico
